We are delighted to offer the following seminars free to members this term, please book your places as soon as possible. There are 2 places per school available, open to any member of staff dealing with the relevant areas. Governors, trustees and members are also welcome.
Tuesday 10th October - Health & Safety and Managing Legal Risks – this session will look at managing the major incident that will, hopefully, not occur in your school. Sadly there have been major critical incidents managed in this County in the recent past. Delivered by Michelmores.
Friday 3rd November – Governance – this session is mainly aimed at MATs and will look at the distinct roles of members, trustees and Local Governing bodies. Delivered by Michelmores.
NEW Tuesday 7th November – Safeguarding – the LADO team will provide the latest updates on how to manage professional allegations, with case studies focusing on schools clubs, sports clubs, coaches and apprentices. The County HR team will also update on the Single Central Record. The session will be repeated in the morning and afternoon.
NEW Tuesday 21st November – Making sense of your data – the CSIT team will again join us to help make sense of your assessment data. The session will be repeated in the morning and afternoon.
Monday 4th December – Managing Complaints – this session will cover complaints policies, freedom of information, social media, restricting access to school sites, injunctions and managing legal risks. Delivered by Michelmores.
