What every Special Needs Co-ordinator and School Leader needs to know to improve provision and outcomes for children and young people with SEND

-      developing a strategic vision for SEND policy and provision

-      best practice with regard to legal and statutory duties

-      the characteristics of highly effective leadership

-      building the professional development of all staff through quality CPD opportunities

-      readiness for inspection: what Inspectors will look for and how to evidence impact in relation to ‘narrowing the gap’

-      working effectively with parents, carers, governors and other professionals

-      ensuring continuity of support and progression at key transition points for children and young people with SEND
