CAPH is developing a range of training courses to support aspiring and current school leaders.
Running a School
We will be starting the 4th cohort of this popular course in January 2018
. These practical sessions are intended for those aspiring to 'run a school', about to take up a leadership role in a school and those currently engaged in the business of 'running a school'. Taking place over three days, the course addresses Managing Purpose, People and Place.
Developing Headship - Solving Wicked Problems
How do we improve the progress of more able disadvantaged pupils? How do we improve behaviour for learning ? Developing Headship
will provide an opportunity to focus on a Wicked Problem in your school and help to develop solutions which can be put into practice. This course is designed for those about to take up a leadership role or in the first few years of headship.
Proactive Leadership - Understanding, Action and Improvement
This day is aimed at Deputy/Assistant Headteachers and Strategic Middle Leaders. It is designed to help you consider aspects of senior and strategic middle leadership that can have a positive impact on improving outcomes for children. It provides practical ideas on how to manage quality assurance systems, staff development and continuous school improvement. We ran the first day in June 2017, with a further date scheduled for October 2017
Additional courses are in development, keep an eye on the Bulletin and website for further details. For full details of conferences and courses on offer go to CAPH Conferences & Events
