Active Travel for Education Updates

Registering on the Modeshift Stars in Education Programme….is a great way for schools to look at the benefits of changed behaviour in their community. It helps consider how families and staff travel to and from school and can develop an Active Travel plan.

Schools are also being offered the chance to enter a prize draw to receive a Micro Scooters bundle of 8 scooters and 8 helmets worth over £500 if they register with Modeshift Stars by 28th May.

‘Get Out and About’ on your bikes, scooters and trikes!

With the G7 Summit in Cornwall not long away, people in Cornwall can now look to start the Legacy of the Summit.

Active Cornwall is supporting Bike Week, 31st May to 5th June, encouraging families and communities to get involved by getting out and about during half term on their scooters, bikes and trikes.

By taking photos over half term and sending them to Active Cornwall participants will receive a Cornwall Active Travel Pin Badge and Certificate.

The top three images will receive get a scooter supplied by Micro Scooters.

Cornwall Council and Active Cornwall have teamed up with Modeshift Stars to give all schools in Cornwall the opportunity to develop a sustainable Active Travel plan through the Modeshift Stars Education Accreditation Programme., building and extending the work done by Sustrans.
