These sessions are facilitated by the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) Service for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who will provide a mixture of presentations and case studies.
Intended Audience
This session is suitable for all safeguarding leads in organisations subject to Working Together 2018 which advises that employers, school governors, trustees and voluntary organisations (including faith based and sports organisations) should ensure that there are clear policies in place to handle allegations.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session participants will be aware of
- what they should know and do to manage allegations against staff;
- how and when to involve the LADO;
- how to build a safer organisation and apply expected behaviours;
- how to record and learn from any safeguarding incidents.
