Konnect Communities works to enable, motivate and inspire people in our communities who are seeking to improve their skills, develop their opportunities and maximise their potential.
In order to achieve this, Konnect provides a needs-based service that includes access to mentoring; training, meaningful and relevant education and facilitates opportunities for employment.
Konnect is keen for pastoral teams and parents/carers to be made aware of this free service which supports those who are out of work and who would benefit from some health and wellbeing support to make positive changes in their lives.
The areas they are currently focusing on are Newquay, Bodmin, Camelford/Tintagel, Helston and Penzance.

Life Choices course
As part of our People Hub project Konnect run a course called Life Choices. Life Choices is a CBT based course created for people who are far from the job market and classified as long term unemployed or economically inactive and could be described as ‘not flourishing in life’. The course was created recognising that what holds many people back is an absence of, or very low sense of, self-worth, confidence, and motivation. It is upon the cornerstone of positive evaluation of self-worth that a person can develop self-confidence, be confident in their inherent natural abilities (strengths and skills) and become motivated to find a constructive outlet (employment) for those abilities.
Participants must be 16+, unemployed and eligible to benefits.
Mentoring service
Our People Hub team at Konnect Communities provide a 1:1 Mentoring Service alongside the delivery of our Life Choices course.
Our 1:1 Mentors come with a wealth of experience and expertise and can assist individuals who are out of work with many areas of their life.
Upcoming Life Choices course with KAFE Konnect:
- Bodmin – Wednesday 30th June, 1pm-4pm St.Petrocs Parish centre, every Wednesday for 9 weeks.
- Newquay - Thursday 8th July, 10-3pm every Thursday for 6 weeks, Venue TBC
