Leading Schools South West continue to offer outstanding opportunities for teachers to undertake NPQ qualifications.

National Professional Qualifications in all levels of school leadership for an October 2019 start.

NPQH, NPQSL, NPQML – also two new exciting programmes, NPQML PLUS and NPQSL PLUS.

LSSW has trained over 2,000 teachers across the South West since 2012, with 98% of participants successfully graduating from the Programmes.

Please see below flyers for the new NPQs in Middle Leadership (NPQML), Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and Headship (NPQH) for Cohort 3 with LSSW. Feedback from Cohort 1, 2, 3 and 4 is excellent and illustrates relevancy and importance of training and developing new leaders in Schools to meet today’s challenges.

The Programme Summaries give a concise overview including content assessment and cost. Currently LSSW are offering scholarships for smaller schools. The programme is based on a blended learning approach which limits the number of days participants will be out of schools. Application forms can be found on the Leading Schools South West website. LSSW award small schools significant scholarships to help to offset the costs of the Programmes.

In addition LSSW is delighted to offer two new and innovative programme opportunities for aspiring and existing middle and senior leaders, NPQML PLUS and NPQSL PLUS. This is a joint venture between LSSW, a DfE National Licence Provider, and Skills Training UK, a national Apprenticeships training provider. These new qualifications will enable schools to fund these two programmes through their Apprenticeship Levy which is currently top-sliced from their budgets, or, for smaller schools, through the Education and Skills Funding Agency. These new programmes combine the National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership (NPQML) or the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL) with a Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3 Diploma in First Line Management.
