An Introduction to Virtues in Education (VINE)

A full day workshop with Shone Pye from VINE and author of Character Education by Rising Stars.

In our ever-changing world, we want our children and young people to be equipped with the understanding and belief that they can deal with any situation by making use of their own innate resources. Working with virtues can build a confidence that can enable children to tap into their own virtues and strengths, so they can face some of these challenges with a stronger self-belief and sense of wellbeing.

Autism Spectrum Conditions, Concerns and Strategies

This training will run for 3 hours and is tailored for Teaching Assistants and other support staff. We will spend time looking at the difficulties faced by young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions, including a look at Sensory Processing Differences.

We will explore strategies that can be used to support the young people in the school environment. Some time will be given for attendees to consider how the strategies could be applied to specific young people.

A specific portion of the training will focus on sensory processing strategies. It is also important to add that while ASC is the focus, strategies can also be applied to those without a diagnosis.
