Your Digital Education Platform: How iCT4 can help

ict4 google microsoft

At iCT4 we are committed to moving our schools’ IT forward, and offering access to the latest technologies to advance teaching and learning. Via our partnerships and relationships with the biggest names in technology, we are well-placed to assist you. Over the past years we will already have moved your school to either Google G Suite for Education or Microsoft Office 365 and you are already using this for your email and more.

The government-funded support announced last week is principally for schools that have not yet made their choice, do not have provision in place and/or are stuck on legacy on-site systems – however there is still support offered where platforms are ‘not yet set up to assign work and communicate with pupils’.

What does this mean for you?

As an iCT4 customer, you do not need to apply for additional funding – your existing relationship with us as your ICT Partner allows for us to continue to manage and develop your provision, including supporting you to use Office 365 or G Suite with pupils to communicate and send/receive work. There are no limits to this, it’s what we are here for.

What if I want to change from one platform to the other?

Crucial to a move from G Suite to Office 365 (or vice versa) is a conversation around your teaching and learning objectives – our experts (both Google Educator and Microsoft Innovative Educator levels) can advise on the best way forward and support you every step of the way in choosing the right platform.

Since the start of lockdown, we have been running daily webinars on using Microsoft Teams for remote learning (e.g. sending resources to pupils, receiving work back and giving feedback to learners) – please see our website at www.ict4.co.uk for further details.

Support with G Suite for Education including Google Classroom is also available, please contact us for more information.

What next?

If you wish to develop the use of your platform to engage with pupils/families to deliver remote learning, we are here and ready to help support you. Speak to your Engineer or contact the iCT4 Helpdesk at support@ict4.co.uk to receive a call-back and we’ll arrange a time to get in touch.
