Exciting News for all Early Years Practitioners, Reception Class Teachers and Teaching Assistants

Early Years Education Effectiveness - Dilys Vincent

Cornwall is privileged to have been selected to receive over £500,000 of training through Dingley’s Promise funded by Comic Relief. The training is to support practitioners and the wider early years workforce (0-5 years) to ensure inclusive provision for children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. (SEND).

This training will build on the comprehensive toolkit of training you can already access through our training directory.  This link will take you through to the training website. You can complete the training individually or as a team but each person will need to register.

Early Years Inclusion Programme - Dingley's Promise

We would like to start with the Inclusive Provision training that supports our Inclusive Provision for Children with SEND in the Early Years to Promote Belonging (see pdf below).

Other titles include, Having Difficult Conversations, Transitions and Behaviours that Challenge. Further training on Equality and Support for Managers will be arriving soon.

There will be ten different titles across the next three years. On completion of the wider range of training your setting will receive a ‘Mark of Achievement’. The Dingley’s Rosette and certificate showing the Dingley’s Bear. This will be in recognition of your setting’s Inclusive practice in supporting the needs of children with SEND.

Let’s make Cornwall the most inclusive community for our children with SEND and go on a Dingley’s Bear Hunt!
