Effective Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) in the Primary School

 

CAPH are delighted to bring you a FREE training workshop to develop effective teaching and learning in RSHE for you to become a more confident teacher of RSHE.

This workshop is for PSHE/RSHE leads or classroom teachers who would like to develop their RSHE teaching and learning.

 

Workshop:                Developing effective RSHE in Primary Schools.

Aim: To develop and refresh effective teaching and learning in RSHE as part of a whole school approach.

When:                         Wednesday 22nd May 2024

Time:                           9am – 12noon

Where:                        Kynance Suite, Venton Conference Centre, TR8 5AH (just off A30)

 

Course Content:

Session 1:       Teaching and learning within Relationships, Sex and Health education. (Approx. 1.5hrs)

  •          Setting a safe classroom environment
  •          Understanding the Statutory requirements
  •          Teaching sensitive topics
  •          Dealing with questions from children

 

Break

 

Session 2:       Ofsted requirements and engaging with parents. (approx. 1hr)

 

A review of the most up-to-date requirements based on the current RSHE Government review and suggestions about effective parental engagement.
