The £8.5million investment with state-of-the-art technology creates a completely immersive, cinematic visual experience, retelling the Cornish stories of smuggling, mining and the everyday hardships facing Cornwall’s poorest, including tales from infamous prisoners.
The Bodmin Jail Experience is committed to being a primary education partner in Cornwall and to being integral to this community. A visit can hit many different subject areas within the curriculum, including history, PSHE, local studies, inspired creative writing and many more.
A visit to the Bodmin Jail Experience is also a great destination for School Camp, either planned as part of your itinerary or as an emergency destination if rain stops play. The team will always do their best to accommodate a last minute request.
Schools can tap into Cornwall Heritage Trust Schools Transport Grant Scheme for a visit to Bodmin Jail, they fit the qualifying criteria.

The Bodmin Jail Experience is £6.60 per student for a Teacher led visit - £7.60 per student for guided tour. Teachers and Teaching assistants, free of charge with an additional 10% discount for CAPH Schools.
