RJ Working has a charitable mission to reduce inequalities amongst children and young people in Cornwall using Restorative Practice. We work closely in partnership with schools across the county. 

Restorative Practice is a set of tools and principles for strengthening relationships and culture and responding to conflict and harm. 

We offer a range of group work programmes for Primary children, supporting the development of social and emotional skills needed to engage and learn well at school. 

These programmes are offered to whole year groups (y5 & y6), and support peer relationships and understanding. With huge benefits for the children who struggle the most, they are not stigmatising, and have the potential to transform classroom dynamics.

Restorative Practice supports the development of a positive school culture which has impacts on behaviour, well-being, attendance and narrowing the attainment gap.  

Complimentary to the Trauma Informed approach and Rights Respecting Schools, Restorative Practice supports schools to bring to life the values and principles of school policies related to behaviour and inclusion.  

Restorative Practice can be central for supporting Safeguarding, developing a culture of care and communication which supports children to recognise and talk about harm, and equips staff to respond effectively.
