For the last 4 years, early years charity Kindred2, have conducted research into what school readiness looks like across the country. Working with Savanta, this annual survey shines a spotlight on the impact of school readiness on children and schools by gaining valuable insights from primary teaching staff.

The survey takes just 5 minutes to complete and we’re asking anyone in a primary school with an understanding of the 2023 Reception intake to respond. We’re looking for individual responses – so multiple professionals in a school can complete the survey.
This survey remains, we believe, the only comprehensive measure of the developmental state of the Reception intake, and the impact of the issue on schools. The results will be used to help the wider sector, policymakers and the government understand the impact of school readiness on schools and children across the country.
