Salary Scale: Teaching Assistant Grade 1– 16.25 hours per week £22,183 - £24,481 pro rata
We are looking to appoint an additional part time learning support assistant for our Area Resource Base which caters for 20 children, with severe and complex learning needs. The needs of the children include autism, speech and language difficulties and global development delay. The ARB is an integral part of our two form entry mainstream school. Our ARB children integrate into mainstream where appropriate and are a highly valued group within our pupil base. There is also a half an hour daily lunch duty in addition to this vacancy. The preferred candidate will be able to work every day, term time, 12 noon to 3.15 pm. If this is not possible, we would consider 3 full days for the right candidate. The successful applicant will work within a team under the guidance of the ARB teacher. The post will suit someone experienced in, or passionate about, teaching children with complex learning needs and who is able to maintain positive and warm relationships with children in challenging situations.
