As you might be aware in October the DfE announced that they will now be fully funding all NPQs. We would greatly encourage you access the scholarship funding whilst it remains available.
We have been experiencing a really high level of interest in the NPQ qualifications across Cornwall from the outset. In fact, we are exceptionally pleased about the number of colleagues wishing to pursue the leadership development with us, LSSW and Teach First. Currently we have over 375 colleagues across four Teaching School Hub areas signed up and we expect the volume of applications to continue for the 1b cohort too.

All teachers and leaders employed in state-funded schools and state-funded organisations that offer 16 to 19 places in England can now access a fully funded NPQ from Autumn 2021, to support teachers and pupils following the disruption to learning faced as a result of COVID-19.

Recruitment of facilitators for the NPQs Cohorts
We are delighted with the level of NPQ uptake across Cornwall. To ensure that OneCornwall Teaching School Hub truly provides CPD for Cornwall with Cornwall, we are now looking to recruit more facilitators. If you are an educational leader, senior leader, head of school or headteacher, CEO and would like to get involved in delivering these exciting qualifications together with LSSW and OneCornwall please join us for one of the NPQ webinars listed below.

Two additional NPQs will be available from Sept 2022
National Professional Qualification for Leading Literacy (NPQLL) – for teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading literacy across a school, year group, key stage or phase.
National Professional Qualification for Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL) – for leaders qualified to at least Level 3 with a full and relevant qualification who are, or are aspiring to be, managers of Private, Voluntary and Independent nurseries, headteachers of school-based or maintained nurseries, or childminders with leadership responsibilities.
